Going through some older images I have taken I came across these, this was from a photoshoot in 2010, a slight edit to clean up the backgrounds and I was quite pleased with the look.

I then started to get a bit creative when I saw the next one, it was a bit of fun at the end of the shoot when we tried, 3 men jumping in unison, 2 were unusable but this one struck home, some major editing and a cape and buildings were needed.........

After this I found a portrait which leant itself to being modified as a boxer training in a home based gym, for this read GARAGE,  what do you think? is the blue or sepia toning the best?

Comicon, or Supernova visited the Gold coast recently.
I was there before the parade to catch some of the Fans dressed in their favourite character costumes.
lots of people had gone to a lot of trouble getting everything just right.
here are a few images of the morning.

Even Christopher Lloyd made an appearance, he was Doc in back to the future series.

Seafire 2015 At Surfers paradise
A great night of fireworks to round off the week of activities in surfers paradise.
here is my favourite shot of the night

I also tried a few different techniques at this fireworks display, normally I set the camera, ISO 100, F16 and Bulb, then just press and hold for a few bursts.
this time I tried zooming whilst doing this, it gave some interesting results, a few failures but the ones which worked were special.
 here are a couple.

And the kids loved it, from the colours and lights, they were tired by the time it all ended.

So I was watching you tube a few weeks ago, and got lots of ideas for studio photo shoots. Yesterday I decided to try out the first one, its a simple shoot with one light.
Place the glass in front of the light source, pour in some water, colour it if you want, and set the camera on burst shoot.
pour the water and fire away.
One thing you can guarantee, no two images will be the same.
go one give it a go.
